I Am Back
Posted: Aug 26, 2025
Hello All
I am going to make an attempt at getting my blog entries going again. Its been a lot just keeping up with day to day resort stuff while doing treatment, but going to make an effort. I know we have many people who have missed it

We still have our beach front all set to enjoy. Our new Prince craft boat is closest and up for rent. The old 1956 Shell Lake ski boat is on the lift. Sadly the steering has needed some TLC and it has not been around the lake much. Hoping maybe Steve has some time before we take it out to get a new steering cable on it

Labor Day Weekend we have one cabin open for the 3 nights and it is Shamrock. I have reduced the rate on it from 295/night to 225/night up to 4 and if you have more people it is 15/night extra for the 5 and 6th person. Check out our availability online.

We also have Kaubashine open starting on Monday the 1st along with Muskie and Holiday. They have specials on them starting Monday at 185/night for Kaubashine and 200/night for Muskie and Holiday for up to 4 people add 15/night for more than 4 people.
I have mid week specials as well running mid week in September on the larger cabins as I have a hard time finding big groups mid week and we run out of 2 bdrs. If you go on our availability page, when it pops up in the lower left it says View Our Entire Availability Click on that link without putting in dates and you will see our entire reservation grid. Any questions on it give a call or text 715 892 1630

So its time to find your spot before we fill up for fall
My update
I have been a little quiet on my health. In June I was given good news neck down that chemo was shrinking or stabilizing everything neck down. There is always a but. My brain doc at Mayo saw a spot in my MRI he had me return for in early August. We did that and Mayo decided to use gamma knife raditation on my spot again. That was 2 weeks ago and so for so good. I go back Sept 15th for neck down tests again and brain MRI in mid November. So until they see anything new I continue on with my chemo once a week for 2 weeks and one week off. This makes me tired. I appreciate all the kind words and support we have gotten and also grace people have given me when not feeling well.
