Gathering Boughs

I get asked quite often, how much snow is there in the woods? We were out gathering boughs for our Christmas wreathes and there was enough for Troy to put his snow pants on and enough snow hanging on trees that he got a snow shower while gathering boughs. Loading up the truck with balsam and headed to Muskie Inn for annual wreath making So how much snow you ask? I hear Southern Wisconsin has melted most of theirs About that much is covering the ground. Enough for ski trails to be open, snowmobile trails soon, ice fishermen with ATV's out on the lake. I also saw my first snow mobile zip across. I hear Tom at Hilltop is about ready to go out and mark the trail across the lake. Hopefully the snow is here to stay
