Chipmunks are ground squirrels, usually they are not spotted in the trees. This is the 2nd year that I have caught them in the trees after the same thing. Cherries! We have 2 cherry trees just off our deck and they have a huge temptation for these ground loving chipmunks
They are quite the acrobats up in the thin branches
If there was any doubt as to what they are after. This is a delicacy for them
