Ice coming out, Ermine, Making Maple Syrup

The lake has been slowly melting.

I spotted our friend the ermine out my kitchen window by Kaubashine

You can see the tip of its tail is starting to turn dark. Spring is one the way

We have been collecting maple sap since early February. We are getting to the end of the season. We have our big cook down to do, to see how much we have collected.

Great time of year to go for a hike on our trails. Steve and Troy have been busy adding a couple of new ones to our trail system. I have seen views of our land I never knew about

This little back water is going to be a favorite spot. It connects on to our bog/lake in our back woods. Beautiful spot deep in our woods I never knew about. We now have a beautiful new trail leading to spots like this

Our remaining cabins open up to June 8th, I have removed week requirement from. They can be booked nightly up to June 8th. If you are looking for a shorter or longer rental at the beginning of summer check out our availability calendar or give a call. Bear Den is still open August 10th and we have Red Pine, Wigwam and Eagles Nest open the following week. Our fall reservation have been steadily coming in. If you are thinking of fall do not wait.
