After New Year

The new year has come and gone. How do I know this? Small batches of balsam and cedar around the sauna left by the Russians. After running the resort for 20 years one of the things I have come to know is that Russians and other eastern european countries like to take saunas at New Years and whip their backs with pine boughs to get their blood going and start the New Year out right. So this is always a sign that the New Year has come and gone. I think I like the American way of getting snockered and grabbing someone at midnight and kissing them over the pine boughs but maybe you should not judge it with out trying it? Meanwhile with temps plummeting Troy's woodpiles around our house are slowly declining. Happy New Year, see you in 2013. For those waiting for their summer letters they are going in the mail on Thursday. We had a small issue at Norway Pines to deal with yesterday and today that is delaying them going out til then. The story and pictures are coming tomorrow..... don't worry the cabin is fine but the police have a mystery on their hands and I am leaving it in their capable hands.
