Black's Cliff offers many different ways to enjoy Lower Kaubashine by boat.

Complimentary Boats - no charge

Row Boats • Canoes • Paddle Boats • Kayaks

Guests can take them out and return them with no charge. The canoes, paddle boats and kayaks are kept in the swimming area for all to use. Row Boats can be moved to your cabin dock upon request.

Motor Rentals

Motor Boats are checked out through the office. Reserve in advance or let us know when you get to the resort. We usually have plenty of motors.

6 horse motor:
Prices do not reflect tax and gas.

  • $35 up to 4 hours.
  • $50 per day up to 8 hours.
  • $275 week.

9.9 horse motor:
Prices do not reflect tax and gas.

  • $40 up to 4 hours
  • $55 per day up to 8 hours.
  • $300 week.

Pontoon Boat Rentals

Whether you are taking a sunset cruise, fishing, or pulling the kids on a tube, renting one of our pontoon boats is a great way to enjoy Lower Kaubashine Lake.

Pontoons may be reserved when you arrive.

21' Pontoon
Can pull a tuber, has a swim ladder, has a live well for fishing.
Capacity 8-10 people, depending on weight.

  • $65 per hour.
  • $150 for 4 hours.
  • $225 8 hour day.

23' Pontoon
Has a swim ladder.
Capacity 8-10 people, depending on weight.

  • 8-10 people depending on weight.
  • $55 per hour
  • $110 for 4 hours
  • $200 8 hour day.

Bring Your Own Boat or Motor

Guests are welcome to bring their own boat as long as it is under 18 feet or less and not an inboard. We also do not allow jet skis and wave runners. Please let us know if you are bring a boat so we can make sure there is parking available for trailers.

  • Our launch is at Hilltop Resort where they charge $5. They give you a coupon for the bar for 5 dollars.
  • Hilltop's launch hours are 10 am and after 4 pm. All day on Saturday is open for launching.
  • If bringing your own motor please ask which boat to put your motor on, as not all our boats work well with motors.
  • In order to prevent invasive's in the lake we insist all guests wash their boat and empty all bilge and water tanks before launching. We have a hose set up for this, please ask if you have not already washed your boat.
